Test Case Writing
Contents of a Test Case
A test case document guides QA through a series of steps to validate that software is free of defects and working as expected. You need a good understanding of the application to write a test case. A properly written test cases makes the testing process more predictable.
Make sure your test plan contains:
- A description of the test environment, test data and preconditions.
- Any assumptions that apply to the test.
- Information on how to execute the test.
- How to determine if the test case is a pass or fail.
