Quality is The Factor

Schedule and cost factors can at times influence the quality of product development. Quality Control (QC) benefits business by seeking to ensure that product value is maintained and that product defects are reduced. Quality controls create an enterprise culture that requires production value from management, teams, developers, and testers.QC prescribes production standards and exacts progressive response to quality issues. Controls require visual inspection and documentation of product output previous to delivery. Quality control also enforces testing and reporting to support and facilitate management decision making. The QC approach fortifies three general performance factors:

  • Defined management of processes, performance, criteria, and documentation
  • Competence in knowledge, skill, experience, and qualifications
  • Contributor characteristics of integrity, confidence, motivation, and team spirit
