Agile Methodology In Testing

Testing the Agile Way

In agile, there is no separate testing phase. Instead software testing is conducted in parallel with coding, with everyone on the team involved in producing quality software. So testing becomes an essential component of each and every stage of the development process. And testing is no longer seen as a roadblock in agile, but rather an important impetus for moving a project forward through ongoing feedback from each iteration. In other words, quality is "baked in" from the beginning.

The advantages of agile testing are

  • Saves time and money
  • Less documentation
  • Regular feedback from the end-user
  • Daily scrums help identify issues well in advance
