SENIOR PRODUCT SUPPORT ENGINEER | NEWARK, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES

As a Zephyrs Senior Product Support Engineer, you will be involved in all phases of current product engineering, including communication with customers, support team members, coding, unit testing, debugging and troubleshooting. We are looking for talented individuals with support experience and product development bent of mind. Resolution to highly technical nature of the problem in a tight timeframe is paramount to survival for the customers in constant stiff competition and you are responsible for such deliverable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support a global customer base in their use of our company's Test Management software products via ticketing system and telephone.
  • Develop product fixes within Support Organization charter.
  • Develop stand-alone add-ons, tools, applications that integrate with and enhance Zephyr products.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues involving software installation and daily use via ticketing system and telephone.
  • Work with end-users to illustrate best practices of the software, matching the construct of the tool with their desired testing goals.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow support team members and the development team globally.
  • Master our products inside and out.
  • Be hungry for growth.
  • Assist in providing product demonstrations, technical training and document solutions for internal and external use of our knowledge base.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • With the highly technical nature of our product, excellent troubleshooting skills and an aptitude for understanding complex technical concepts are required.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal is required. Presentation experience a plus.
  • Experience with the following is required: High performance web-based applications, large-scale multi-tier software applications, installation of application in Windows and LINUX environments, ability to troubleshoot windows, LINUX application issues.
  • Hands-on software development experience with exposure to Java programming, JavaScript, Web Services, REST and open source based technologies.
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows OS, UNIX/LINUX OS, Networking - TCP / IP, SSL, firewall, Tomcat, Perl, python, PHP.
  • Profound knowledge in HA services, clustering, Load Balancing, automation, integration, monitoring and configuration management.
  • Past experience with legacy test management solutions such as Quality Center, Rational, QTP, etc, Software Testing Quality Assurance, SaaS Deployments, TCP/IP, MySQL, RIAK and Atlassian JIRA is a huge plus.

We’re looking for that unique fusion of business savvy and technology fervor in our new hires to join this team in our newly opened offices in King of Prussia, PA and our existing headquarters in Newark, CA. The position reports directly to the VP of Client Services.

As the fastest growing Test Management solutions vendor, customers are relying on Zephyr’s products to track their quality efforts for their own mission critical applications and products. The Zephyr Client Services team ensures that these customers have a thorough understanding of Zephyr’s comprehensive features and benefits. The successful candidate will be adept at ensuring customer adoption and will have outstanding relationship building skills. They will be our customer’s trusted advisor and solution architect as they employ their ability in understanding customer requirements and identify how Zephyr’s solutions can address these effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pre-Sales: Be the product expert for our customers and partners – gain and maintain a thorough understanding of Zephyr products and its integrations with complimentary solutions; deliver product demonstrations and proof of concepts to highlight Zephyr’s benefits; understand customer challenges in the area of Test Management and identify solutions to address them; respond to RFPs/RFIs and other requirements documents
  • Post-Sales: Provide guidance on installation and configuration, data migration, and provide user and administrator training.
  • Product Evangelist & Thought Leader: Externally, share your experiences in the area of software delivery and testing best practices via blog posts, webinars, and speaking engagements. Internally, be the chief voice of our customers back to our product teams to help drive product direction and roadmaps.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must as is the ability to think on your feet
  • A passion to server the customer, which has played out in some customer facing role such as consulting, technical support or sales engineering.
  • Familiarity with the various components of Software development and delivery and associated tools is a huge plus (defect tracking, requirements mgmt., test automation, etc.

As a UI Developer you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the User Interfaces of all Zephyr Test Management Products (Cloud and Server). The individual must have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. Attention to detail and creativity in problem solving are critical skills.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement Product UI features
  • Problem solving solutions
  • Design and development of front-end modules and integrating with the REST services
  • Plan, document and conduct unit testing of the components
  • Understand existing systems and resolve operations issues while working with support staff
