This is why companies need insider risk teams to create a system to detect if confidential items have been taken. Hamesh states that insider risk teams should be constantly looking at reports or logs on a daily basis to recognize where the deviations are taking place. He adds, “These specialized teams should formulate a crisis plan to mitigate the damage should an insider attack occur and have concrete, appropriate actions against those abuses.”
