Planned or Ad hoc Test Executions

Zephyr for JIRA provides multiple ways to execute your tests, track them, report on them and ensure that appropriate defects are filed. Based on how the testing process for your project is set up, you can execute tests in one of many ways giving you a lot of flexibility: By creating and executing tests in a single operation By creating tests and executing them right away and recording results against a test cycle or By planning and setting up test execution cycles and then methodically executing from those test cycles

Optimized Executions

A highly optimized screen allows testers to rapidly enter key execution information, change status, find and link existing defects or file new one, attach files and screenshots and provide detailed descriptions of the execution run. The ability to quickly move on to the next execution or jump to the detailed test speeds up the time they spend on test execution. As users update their execution information, test cycle charts get updated with progress information on the quality of the software under test.

Zephyr for JIRA is also very useful for nimble teams that just need to create and execute tests in an ad hoc manner and keep track of status at a high level without too much detailed planning.
